You might enjoy a recent podcast episode where Brené Brown interviews Laverne Cox, and Laverne says she doesn’t want to talk about JK Rowling because she doesn’t want to be pitted against another woman. I agree that this has become a false dichotomy and that pitting women’s right against trans rights isn’t a helpful narrative. Misogyny hurts all of us. Men’s violence against women — cis and trans — is the statistical problem. Too bad that’s not as fashionable to fight right now.
